Meralyn Klein has lived locally for the past 24 years with her husband and 4 children. She has been a small business owner and a local Councillor which provides her with an intimate link with her community. Meralyn’s time on Nillumbik Council included involvement in an array of projects within the Yan Yean electorate, including improving Nillumbik’s War Memorials, working with the local area’s emergency services committees and developing the Yarrambat Township plan.
Meralyn has an extensive history in child and aged care services and has volunteered with those in the community most at need, including as a court support person and with women’s community groups. Meralyn’s engagement with her local community makes her a strong advocate for the people of Yan Yean.
Meralyn has a vision for Yan Yean that includes a safer community and a local representative that can be trusted to tackle the major issues of ever increasing cost of living, congestion on our roads and a lack of basic infrastructure.
